About Jay Pittenger

I'm a photographer based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I grew up in the Philadelphia suburb of Warminster, Pennsylvania and moved to Pittsburgh in 2007 to attend the University of Pittsburgh where I graduated with a BS in Industrial Engineering. I began working as an engineer while going back to Pitt part time where I earned my Masters in Industrial Engineering. 

I started getting into photography in the summer of 2014, learning through personal experiences, trial and error, photography books and videos, and online tutorials. I mostly photograph Pittsburgh and the Western Pennsylvania area, focusing on cityscapes, nature, birding, and macro photography. I shoot with a Nikon camera and Nikon, Tamron, and Sigma lenses.
